Ryan Hubbard

Ryan Hubbard is a freelance football writer, artist and broadcaster, based in Leicester, UK. Writing about Polish football, mainly to an English-speaking audience, His work has appeared in a number of publications/websites including: FourFourTwo, Daily Record, Sunday Mail, Football Weekends Magazine and many more; while he has covered the Polish national team during Euro 2016 for ESPN FC, and Euro 2012 for both Mirror Football and Goal.com. He also goes occasionally updates his Polish football blog EKSTRAKLASAreview.co.uk, and is currently in the middle of writing an English-language, Polish football-themed book.

Ryan has also appeared on a number of TV and Radio shows including: Baker & Kelly’s VSPO (BT Sport), Bleacher Report’s Facebook Live, Sky Sports Radio, TalkSport, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Five Live. He was also a pundit for Sports Tonight Live’s coverage of live Polish Ekstraklasa football during the 2012/13 season. Ryan has also led commentary on several games involving Polish clubs, ranging from pre-season friendly games to the 2016/17 Puchar Polski (Polish Cup) Final.

Ryan also likes to dabble in a little football-themed artwork, with some of his sketches and paintings being features in the book “IBWM: The First Two Years”, available from Ockley Books. He also undertook an art project during Leicester City’s historic 2015-16 Premier League-winning campaign, which saw him create an individual artwork for each of The Foxes’ 38 league games.

Ryan lives in his hometown of Leicester, with his wife Melissa and son Rivers.
